Not ready to adopt?
Fostering is a great way to save a life and help a kitty find its forever home
We generally ask our fosters to provide food, litter and basic supplies (which are tax-deductible as a donation). Some people foster until a cat is adopted while others have an end date when the cat will need to be moved if not yet adopted. We work with you on your timeframe as well as your comfort level with medications, behaviors, etc., to find the best foster match. We have a strong community of fosters and volunteers who support you through the process of caring for the cat and getting it adopted. CLICK HERE to complete our foster questionnaire and application.

OUR MISSION
Anjellicle Cats Rescue (ACR) is a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and adopting out New York City’s homeless cats and kittens, with a focus on local shelter animals in immediate danger of being euthanized. Through a coalition of volunteer advocates and foster caregivers, ACR extends a last minute lifeline of time, attention and care needed to ultimately place these abandoned animals into permanent, loving homes. We believe that no animal should be ill-treated and strive toward a day when awareness, education and compassion have served to permanently replace euthanasia as a solution to companion animal overpopulation.
Our goal is to help make New York City a no kill city.
Well-known within the Broadway community, we have been featured on Fox 5 Morning Show, New York 1 Television, in Time Out magazine and on the Food Network, featured on the special, "Rachel Ray Feeds Your Pet."
We always enjoy meeting new volunteers and people who share our mission -- to compassionately rescue, care for and place New York City's homeless cats and kittens.
Visit our virtual “cat room” on our site, powered by PetTango, and maybe you'll find a new friend -- one of our truly “Anjellicle Cats”!
Please email us if you're interested in joining our volunteer cat crew.
